So there's a saga in itself after many months of haggling I eventually drag him down to the Hairdressers, am all stressed out by then hes whining like the gear box on a Ford Cortina and I am desperate to get him done before Xmas, I look over my shoulder at this Blond stylist and mumble a few words, she then gives me the knowing nod!. Her name apparently is Fay, I strangely see him going back there again.
Odd week, yes, the mortgage came through, so paid off some debts, and am going to treat my self to a Classic Car. I was contemplating buying The Saints Volvo, but was convinced otherwise. I have never really had one before, sure a few whom never got off the ground as projects go, there was the Porsche 914, then the Wollessley straight six, then the Mini..
So before you start please don't advise me on what I already know, the image of the balding man going through Andropause driving around the city trying to re live his youth etc. Firstly am not balding( and will not be wearing a baseball cap), secondly can pass as ten years younger, and I have never ran a convertible. So I will try not to embarrass you all. I have made an offer on a silver TR7 on Ebay, all else fails then its the Ber tone styling of a Fiat x/19 in an red orange.
I was contemplating a good solid Rover P6, but getting the exact one in good condition, colour, mileage, and pre 73 was such a hassle. I really did try you Rover aficionados out there. So by my next entry, alls well, you will know of my decision.
The weather has certainly changed now here in Coventry, leaves have truly fallen, had Snow fall prior to my Birthday!. My sister Emailed me and is doing fine, saw Leo last week, as I may have said he needs a Blokes night in, must try and get around to that. Mums looking well also, went shopping with her last week. So now its the insidious build up to the Xmas rush, traffic on roads increasing, have bought a few things already, just hate the shopping, the crowds simply stress me out!. Will force myself to go to Town now, and Max is off to see the Bond Film, a Quantum of Bollocks! if you ask me.....
