Death of a City

Born and raised in Coventry, and proud of it, even ran for City council in the past. Have spent the week popping into the City, and its never been as depressing.
The people of our City are Cosmopolitan, not in that nice, up beat ethnic way, but in the bottom dregs of international migrants. They dress terribly, in grey depressing colours and don't speak English. Then there's the obese freaks and midget weirdos blocking the pavements outside the fast food chains ( which have already blocked the pavements with their signage) as you try to negotiate the screaming children and fragile abandoned old folks; while not tripping over pavements that would challenge a Land Rover, you suddenly realise the streets are a mess!. They have torn up the top of the Burges, thus blocking it to traffic, and simply left it!. Apparently their now going to tear up the road outside the transport Museum as well. The roads are deteriorating in that post winter pot hole way, and the shops are closing in the precinct, and not opening again!. This is grim, but why do we have to look like down town Detroit?. Councillors and politicians send them all to hell, I don't let my house, dignity and children go to rack and ruin during hard times, why should you be allowed to do so?.
