English Breakfast

I started my day with my definition of a English breakfast (only on a Saturday morning) fried lambs Kidneys from New Zealand, with grilled smoked bacon, toast, fried egg (sunny side up) and a modest portion of Baked Beans. Most enjoyable, lifts the soul. I read somewhere once that 75% of all the baked beans made in the world ended up in England?. Quite right to as one never gets bored of Baked Beans.
Briefly nipped into town which was horribly crowded, then settled down as Katie came home; and as she napped on the sofa, I finally caught up with that fabulous movie 'Blithe Spirit' theres nothing more enjoyable than these wonderfully made fifties movies, from the cars to the country houses and excellent characters especially the late Margaret Rutherford.
Mother rings "where have you been?, haven't seen you in ages!" I politely inform her I have been working my tits off, then its "how are you?, hows Katie and the boys? etc". Its been a while, but I will catch up with mum the first chance I get.
Long shadows move across the house as the weather cannot make up its mind, may even light the study fire later, but will just pop down the road to pick up some Chocolate before we settle down for the evening, perhaps catch up with a good book.
