This could be an expensive day. I have John our Irish Mechanic tutting and humming and Arring about the breaks on my Volvo. Prior to spending the last 25 years in the car business, he was in the music industry, and remembers turning down the Beatles!, took the Walker bros in their place in '63' at the Orchid, as the Beatles were asking £300. God only knows they need doing,(the brakes, not the Beatles!) and I have been waiting ages, only hope I can afford it!?. Got to be done, oh the pleasures of driving.
There will be no classic Car run this year in Coventry as they are looking to re-locate and the new location will not be ready until next year. So in essence that gives me this year to work more on 'Purdy', the wheels spring to mind as I have her upgraded replacements, they just need the tyres, will see John about that also. He likes his cups of Tea...
