The Sky at Night

I was catching up with 'The Sky at Night' yesterday, it was the usual splendid Fayre, with Patrick making reference to the now cold but clear night sky's on a winters night, and how over the coming weeks he would be advising us all on the setting up our telescopes. This is so Patrick, always seasonally relevant, it becomes part of our journey into Christmas. I found out this afternoon that this expert Astronomer and great eccentric, after fifty years of presenting this institution; is no longer with us. I cant see his show carrying on? but perhaps I am wrong on that?, as it was so all about Astronomy and Patrick, and yet I know he would want some TV format for the amateur astronomer to carry on, so who knows, only time will tell., as he makes his way up among the celestial constellations, like many people I shall miss him.
