I mentioned the other day about my excessive shift pattern, well last night my thirteen shifts in a row became fourteen as my night nurse went sick. During this nonsense I was forced to watch two films on the TV. One tends to be a somewhat captive audience when your half asleep, any way one was 'Pans Labyrinth' which was an interesting mix up of realities and innocence, there was a guy stitching his mouth up! ouch!!, but the other was 'Gorillas in the Mist', very much a reality, acted out by a gorgeous Sigurney Weaver.
I have always said when in Rome, so its no surprise that when she went into the Congo and Tanzania she would piss people off with her passionate drive to protect and monitor her Gorillas. Then ending was as is often the case rather sad, the film stated 'Mystery still surrounds the heroines death', well no mystery there, she was murdered by a man with a nasty Machete, and we probably know why to!. But you could not help but admire her dedication, and I hoped the got the bastard that did it, but I suspect not. People with vision, people ahead of there time, are always seen as a threat to others way of life. Were still evolving aren't we?....
