You know in these troubled times of bent politicians and spin, a time when these politicos always remind us of our freedoms to speech etc, you realise half the time its a great big fucking lie with bells on!.
And it occurred to me, one way we classic car fans get our revenge on these parasites, is by the fact that we chose to drive Old Cars. There made of rusty bits of metal ( not shitty plastics) there probably environmentally unfriendly in a tiny way, largish engines, classic in design, screams old school with our two fingers up!. And you will be suprised how many people it makes happy. Above all else it says we will not conform to their deluded demands. To steal a famous quote" I will not be stamped, indexed, briefed, de- briefed or numbered... my life is my own". God 'Patrick' was so right! and this menthol cigarette is going to my head!.
