Saturday June 6th 1944

Saturday and its raining British style. Katie in bed as not well today, boys now at their Dads. The Veterans are gathered in Normandy, a proud moment, will never forget the sacrifices I promise you that Dad, including the first D-Day that was the Russian conflict. You left me with a real sense of history, and brought me up surrounded by Veterans. The following generations don't know their born!. But there are exceptions, and that includes my son Harry, first 'Noorkoiv' in the armed forces since you Dad. Getting emotional now.
We had the most fabulous Chinese last night from Cheylesmore. Visited the Herbert Art gallery this morning and viewed their Chinese exhibition. Will have a lazy recuperative evening with my Fiancee (still getting used to this title) watch NCIS, Law and Order etc. Harry in Town may pop in, talked with Leo, and Emma has covered my Kitchen counter with Beer Mats from Browns, there actually quite practical!...
