It begins..

The restoration proper of 'Purdey' began this afternoon. I am sitting in the kitchen now, sorting Max's stir fry ( what else!) and smell of Rust and Steel. I began cautiously on her spare wheel, angle grinders, wire brushes etc. Will bring her down to bare metal, chemical strip, treat, undercoat, and then paint. Interestingly enough, British Leyland Wheel paint holds up rather well on these Rostyle wheels considering its almost thirty years old. Messy, you have to use power tools like a scalpel, but great fun!. Next, bath, Max to Air cadets, then my beloved.....
