Christchurch Earthquake

Petone is a quite long road in part of Wellington, its here you will find the second hand shops, Antique shops and Army surplus, which me and the boys certainly enjoyed. Our visit was interrupted by news of the Earthquake in Christchurch. The situation is grim, their Earthquake last September was free of injuries, but this time, initially their are 65 dead; I fear there will be more. Its even more strange when an event like this occurs in the heart of the city, reporters running yards from their offices to film the post events, then the impact sinks in, people are really dead this time, the powers out, and people whom are trapped in the buildings are texting their situations. A significant number of people are still trapped as I type this entry. The residents of Christchurch refused to sleep in their houses last night, despite them being declared clear, they were in fear of further tremors. Its been raining heavy, rescue teams are working around the clock, and they have arrived from all around the world.
Looking at the images of the affected area in the business district of Christchurch it looks as if a bomb has gone off; people are just not used to this, small tremor's yes, but not this; and you can see it in their faces.
