This weekend we decamped to Ahu Ahu which is roughly a four hour drive from Wellington, across their 'surf highway'. Were staying at a group of Villas over looking to our right, Mount Taranaki (where they filmed the last Samuri) to our left in into the infinite we also overlook Okura Bay, its a black sand beach, and yes, it does burn your feet!.
Were are here for Tanya and Andrews wedding, which took place overlooking the bay. The best way I can describe this place is like a smaller version of the Robin Masters estate in 'Magnum'. Its stunning, combined with the sea breezes, southern pacific sunshine for this Coventry kid, this is surly heaven.....
