There was some idiot on 'Coventry radio' CWR today waffling on about how all Alan's are generally plain in appearance, not very attractive, well, Alain Delon may have something to say about that, and of course the late Alan Shepard, ruggedly handsome astronaut, whom if I recollect was president of the 'Society of Alan's', strictly spelt of course.
We lost Alan Shepard a while back with Leukemia, Space acquired perhaps. Today Mary next door dusted off her '73' mg convertible, with the intention of her son taking her out for a meal, I chatted with them both as he pulled the car out of the Garage, I had said before to Mary how his son looks so like his Father; so there he was pulling out his late Fathers MG, with the most stupid grin on his face, just like his Dad, he was hooked!, no doubt about it.
