Jingly Bells...

Well Christmas is upon us again. Yesterday was an odd day, when talking with Emma who's quite busy working in the 'West End', there was a sense of disappointment, a pre anti climax if you like by the general public as we approach the dreaded 'fiscal' aspect of Christmas.
You see I believe in Christmas as a religious festival, a time to reflect on the year, and to be if possible with our families, and remember those whom are no longer with us to share that Xmas dinner. As for the commercial, cynical push for spending money we don't really have, on gifts we don't really need, then perhaps a recession might be a good time for us to reflect on the society we live in.
On Christmas day I will drive over to the capital and finally catch up with where Emma works, a good day to reflect on the year perhaps, and re visit Londinium. I will leave you with an image of a wonderful winter place called Michelstadt in west Germany, a place I visited long ago, and holds special Christmas memories for me.
