Flaming June?...
Mother nature has certainly come to the fore this month, as the last week was one of truly glorious English sunshine. The potatoes are happy and the Roses are just about bursting into their first flower of the season. So this morning as I type in the depths of sunny Warwickshire, were set for another beautiful day.
For anyone to be free to enjoy summer really is a treat, as their is nothing worst than commuting to work on a blisteringly hot summers day, knowing you cant enjoy it. Its a bit like being a kid again on those long drawn out summer holidays we all remember, one of my personal memories is breaking up for the last day of term at Whitley Abbey school, on one of those blazing hot July days gazing at the gorgeous green lawns and avenue of proud trees which surrounded the driveway out of the school into the exciting world of freedom and excitement!. Halcyon summers which would then become occupied with girls, and the dawning realisation of adulthood. Where ever you are in the world, whatever your doing right now, be you ex-pupils of Whitley Abbey School or otherwise, 'Happy Summer'.. while we can enjoy it!.
