Wonderful Wet Summer
The cat has just ran in from the garden, " I have had enough of this" he Meow's, dives into his bowl of crunchies, and then scuttles off to the master bedroom for the day.
I don't mind this rain. Its good for the gardens, and the crops; I can cope with rain. I think even the Americans at the opposite aspect of the spectrum would prefer rain to a heatwave?. I am more than happy for it to pour down entirely over the Olympics this year, perhaps a sign from God on the obscenity it has become. The boys attended the pass through of the Torch in Coventry last week and were rewarded with an inflated plastic cylinder, and matching plastic flag, with the legend 'Samsung' written over them, I am sure that will be seared in their memory for generations to come?.
Coventrys buildings have become enveloped in tacky hoardings selling its soul to London, which I resent. The 'Ricoh' arena is now being adorned with the obligatory Tat, and has been renamed 'The Coventry Stadium', even though the radio announcers on CWR seem to ignore the fact.
As long as we get just one weekend of sunshine, to compliment the Motoring weekend in September, then I will be more than happy with this summer. Its actually quite nice to feel the rain on my face...
