Turning Fifty One
Woke up after a bad sleep in a pretty depressed mood. Two fat Grey pigeons in the garden stomped around regardlessly, and latterly a Canadian Goose flew over the house heading North over the city ( I thought they flew south for the winter?). I have the boys with me this week, and their behaving wonderfully in fact. So dressed and walked into town singing to myself happy birthday to me, they don't do 51st birthday cakes, and that's probably a good thing. feeling like a stereotypical slightly simple 'Benny Hill' character.
Emma hit the nail on the head and texted me 'Happy Birthday Old Man', I could not ask for a better daughter. So I will naturally spend the rest of my day reflecting on my infirmity, aided by some scotch and an interesting home cooked Thai meal with Katie... Happy Birthday to me, Happy Birthday to me... etc.
