I was so busy yesterday, every five minutes somebody wanting me. Then in the afternoon I managed to combine a assessment and take my mum down to Walsgrave Hospital for her endoscopy.
Two and a half hours later I am sitting in a sterile office , and find me and my mum being informed by a pragmatic doctor, that she has Cancer. I go through the motions, my clinical brain in gear, and take mum home. Back at work when I tell the girls, they burst into tears; it was difficult for me not to cry there and then.
