Beltane

A beautiful spring afternoon. In this fair Isle that is England. I spent some time in my garden. Its all so verdant. The Bluebells are in bloom, ever reliable. When I was a kid I used to read those really old children's books, where the pixies and fairies would wear Bluebell Hats, and daisy belts, while they played their covert adventures out in our Gardens, and of course it was only us kids that knew they existed. Bluebells also signify the beginning of Spring , or to be more precise 'Beltane', and this is the very eve of the festival.. Pagan in origin and the marking of the end of Winter. It also symbolises Fertility, its a  celebration, with food, Wine, and love making, along with the lighting of a fire to which we all dance. So find your Fair maiden, and tomorrow night, dance to the light of a bonfire.
