Rita Hayworth had of course been around the block, wanted on two continents, as as with all red heads, was very sexy and bad.You could feel the heat rising from her.  Bob Mitchum a confessed 'rummie' going from port to port and Jack Lemmon his friend and moral barometer .Its one of those films that crawl out of nowhere and really make you think about the fickleness of life, luck, and love. Makes you think about our mortality, and letting go and moving on. Never mind the gorgeous red, series one 'Landrover' sitting on the dock... a perfect film?. These G and T's are good.
