One of the consolations of flying off to New Zealand for a few weeks is the fact that I am getting away from the constant bombardment of the obnoxious Chris Evans!. Other things I will not miss is the cold weather, (the winds are buffeting my house this morning) along with insincere and irrelevant tabloid headlines, and the morning race to work in my car.
Its my first visit to the Pacific. In fact my first visit anywhere outside Europe. I imagine a quite different lifestyle, and the opportunity to wander the coasts and beautiful terrain, the culinary fayre and the chance to meet a new culture, I have never met a Maori!. Not forgetting of course the whole 'Lord of the Rings' experience!.
The kids will be high as kites in the morning, I will miss Maximus, whom will be in charge while were gone, he referes to it as his 'The Shining' moment!. So all's well, my next entry will be from New Zealand.
