While transferring a pile of logs from my driveway to the back garden this morning I talked politics with a neighbour. Two fifths of our exports go to Europe, this may be affected if the Euro collapses, but I can live with those odds, we may apparently lose ten years of economic growth, well, strangely enough, I don't feel I benefited from that, so those ten years mean nothing to me, not a London banker I, or a Politician for that matter. Imagine though, a Euro Club that was never designed for people to leave!?, a collective of politicians whom believe they can get rid of Prime ministers?. I still am of the view that the PM of Greece was acting honourably by trying to create a referendum, as the people of Greece need to decide do they still want to stay in the Euro club?, and face the prospect of strict financial controls for the next 20 years!.
There was a religious debate ob TV this morning where Nina Myscow declared that paying over £15.00 to see St Pauls was shocking, and I whole heartedly agree as I ventured in to Coventry Cathedral this week (more a museum of Anglican Art) to find they were asking over a Fiver to look around!, I walked out in Disgust. Churches are for the people, sometimes I want to walk around our Cathedral simply to reflect and ponder, well not any more apparently, so much for our Churches, Coventry Cathedral is no longer an organisation I wish to support, we should not have to pay for an international centre of 'peace and reconciliation'.
The sun is out on a glorious Sunday morning, we had Egg and soldiers for breakfast, and have just been given a lovely cup of Earl Grey (thats Tescos not Twinnings). Back to work tomorrow, new challenges await me.
