Scotland says NO!

When a man in the Shetlands was asked, whose Oil is it?, the Scots, the English?...  he replied, "the Oil Companies". Another Scot said he voted No because Salmond never answered the question about what the future would be under an independent Scotland, perhaps the most important question of all?. The highlands of Scotland where I would have expected the most passion, these good people even voted NO.
85% turn out, to me the most dramatic way of looking at the votes, all be it quite un- proportional, was a color map of Scotland on the BBC swathed almost totally in red representing the NO vote, and a tiny point of green in the middle representing Glasgow and Lanarkshire.
I felt angered from the outset at Salmonds mischief making, and ironically, the Scottish parliament will get more powers to make there own decisions, and it will not be as easy as they may think, and on that thought, as an Englishman, am am more than happy for Scottish MP's to step back from voting on English issues.
